Too bad they most likely did not pay the huge sums of money to keep the original music in the DVDs. Ala watching the Best of Chris Farley DVD and having to listen to a random synthesizer instead of Van Halen's "Beautiful Girls" during Schmitt's Gay. Rest assured, the State DVD will be part of my DVD library soon enough, however, it won't be the same without enjoying the Breeders or "No Rain" randomly during crucial moments of avant-garde 1990's sketch comedy.

Fistpump of the Day - 5/1/09

A quick glance at this image would probably result in the casual looker determining that Joakim Noah delivered the Fistpump of the Day in the immediate aftermath of the Bulls victory of the Celtics through no help of his own really. (Run-on sentence? Perhaps. You vote, English majors!) Leave it to the experts here at fistpumps.com to point out the real gem in this shot. Look to the far right, which I have highlighted for your convenience, and notice the gentleman in the solid red t-shirt. While the rest of the crowd around him goes bizerk, this independent man rises up to the challenge and delivers a cool and confident microjoules (!!!) under pressure. This is even more impressive considering that he had to contend with Kevin Malone's utterly despicable display of open jazz hands in the background. That, my friends, is the mark of a true champion.
